From AIM Moldova Director, Brian Paterson:
It's just a little thing, just an evening meal, just sitting around a table (even though it's a pretty big table), talking, laughing, sharing stories, challenges, homework headaches or whatever the latest buzz around school might be.
But last night, as I write this, Angie Spackman and I got to sit at that dinner table with the girls in Stella's House (we'll get to visit the other girls' home (Adullam House) and the boys' home (Pete's Place) over the next couple of days). But last night, what a blessing it was to share that meal with them, see their smiles and hear their chatter and their laughter.
It's just a little thing, except our precious girls might never have been here. Generous donors make sure we have this amazing place to welcome and care for them. They come from incredibly vulnerable situations all over Moldova. Some come from backgrounds too tragic to contemplate. Others simply don't have the resources to find a place to stay, pay for tuition, or get back and forward to class every day.
Well, I guess it's really not such a "little thing" after all, because safety, a comfortable home, completing their education, crushing the cycle of despair and poverty, learning that someone cares, discovering how much God loves them -- that's all possible now! Thank you so much for your prayers and your faithful support. That's definitely not a little thing.
